LOST LANE, Summer gigs, and upcoming… things… :)
HI, We’re very excited to tell you about our special Dublin club show – only limited tickets – in unique new venue Lost Lane! We thought we weren’t going to play many Dublin headline shows until some new music came, but deadly offers kept coming in, and we kept saying yes! The venue is actually in the old Lillie’s Bordello site, just off Grafton St, if that makes sense to anyone. It’s potentially a very exciting venue, a place for some great shows and nights, and we’re certainly looking forward to seeing what happens. Dublin needs somewhere else that’s alternative and interesting, it’s becoming a fairly homogenous place for late night hanging out…
Last week was busy – we played a fun Q&A behind-the-music acoustic gig with Fergal D’arcy from Today FM for their Carlsberg Unfiltered series, and we played the Anam festival in DCU with Other Voices. Two very different shows, but both unreal events! We’re more and more attracted to unusual and different ideas and events, so we’re grabbing on to cool stuff when it comes up…
One of the cool things about being an Independent band is that you never know what’ll come in, you often don’t know what the gig after next will be, and you sorta make plans as they happen. This is certainly true of our summer so far – full of wildly different festival shows that we can’t wait to tell you about… Starting with Live in Ballyheigue, Kerry! Get your tickets now, Kerryfolk… [TICKETS HERE]. We don’t play Kerry enough (Or Wexford. Or Donegal. Or Ulster in General.)
The other exciting bit of news is that we’re starting to begin to think about some new music… provisionally. We are very slow movers though. 🙂 talk to you
